Before we built for clients, we built for ourselves. Elma Farmstay is our own farmstay, and its natural pool is where we prove the system first. We designed and built the full natural pool system: bog filtration zone, gravel layers, aquatic plants, living bacteria. Water stabilised within 6 weeks. Zero chlorine required after that.

The result wasn't just a working pool. Guests who came for the farmstay stayed and talked about the pool. One guest — Puan Farha — rebooked in the same checkout conversation, specifically because of it.

The same team that designed your system builds it, to our own specification. You don't find a contractor. We don't hand you a blueprint and wish you luck. It gets built the way it was designed. Most builds take about 2 weeks on site, because we use a liner, not concrete.

How Biology Replaces Chemicals

Biology does what chemicals can't.

Chemicals attack the algae after it grows. A natural pool removes its food — plants and bacteria take up the nutrients, all day, every day.

Most contractors build pools — they don't design ecological water systems. That's why pools look fine on day one and fail over time. We design the system first, then build it ourselves — the same team throughout. You're not left sourcing anyone, and it actually gets built the way it was intended.
Most can. Suitability depends on space available for a bog zone, structural setup, and your current circulation system. That's exactly what the RM150 consultation determines — before you commit to anything.
In a properly designed natural pool, chlorine dependency is eliminated. A minimal establishment phase of 4–8 weeks may require light intervention. After that, no chemicals — only light care: cut back the plants a few times a year, like a garden bed. Elma Farmstay has had zero chlorine since establishment.
